Job Description
The Change Partners are looking for a Head of Innovation (Trade In/Refurbishments/Returns) to lead a critical division for a tier-1 Consumer Mobile Brand.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of trade-in and refurbished devices across the European market, balancing operational excellence with commercial profitability. You will be the bridge between local subsidiaries and Global HQ, ensuring that the brand’s value innovation strategy is executed with precision.

Strategic & Operational Leadership:
- Optimise Financial Returns: Develop and execute strategies to manage the residual value of devices, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability through the refurbishment cycle.
- Regional Influence: Act as a key advisor to Subsidiary Presidents and cross-functional Heads to align GVI operations with broader business goals.
- Global Alignment: Partner with Suwon HQ leadership to ensure all regional initiatives mirror the brand’s global strategic direction.
- Quality & Compliance: Establish rigorous quality control measures that meet brand guidelines as well as environmental and safety standards.
- End-to-End Execution: Oversee the entire process from initial return and inspection to final repair and market resale.
Growth & Collaboration:
- Market Expansion: Identify new growth opportunities by deeply analysing consumer behaviour and evolving electronics industry trends.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with GTM, Sales, and Marketing teams to design and launch effective commercial plans for refurbished products.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with European suppliers and vendors to ensure a seamless supply chain of parts and materials.
- People Leadership: Lead a virtual team of specialists and provide clear mentorship to direct reports to foster a high-performing, inclusive culture.
Your background:
- Industry Expertise: Significant experience in electronics, specifically within trade-in or refurbished channel operations.
- Commercial Acumen: A proven track record of managing account-level P&Ls and handling complex contract negotiations.
- Ecosystem Knowledge: Experience managing commercial relationships within Carrier, Retail, or Distribution networks.
- Leadership Style: A resilient, growth-minded leader capable of motivating teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Working with multiple teams internally and externally, globally.
