Job Description

We are looking for a Senior BI Manager to join one of the world’s leading media-tech companies. They are looking for someone who would like to join a rapidly growing team, focused on building a successful data function.

This is a permanent role to start as soon as possible.

The team is currently data-focused and requires innovation and strategy, therefore a new role has been created to focus on business planning and strategy execution. The purpose of this role is to act as a layer between the data team and senior management, taking the data and distilling it into business recommendations that can be presented to management in a coherent and easy to use way.

This role will report to the Director of Product and you will own the Data & BI transformation as well as lead a medium sized, talented team consisting of Senior Business Analysts.

The role will be responsible for:

•    Instigating analysis and research of the market and bringing understanding to the SLT and wider business on GFK trends, threats, competitor intelligence, business models and new market opportunities. This includes a detailed understanding of economic factors and consumer confidence. 
•    Analytical interpretation of sell-in, sell-out, and channel balance to make business recommendations.
•    Coordinating the creation, evolution, communication and execution of the growth strategy and goals to exceed both short-term and long-term business objectives
•    Ensuring ongoing communication of business strategy and commercials plans. Coordinating with key partners to align with the wider business strategy. 
•    Impacting the sales & profit performance of the UK business 
•    Designing and developing automated solutions to assist the business in its operation, using Power BI, Excel and the Microsoft SQL Server suite of products
•    Working with and managing 3rd party data suppliers (GFK and AMDEA)

Skills required:

The ability to translate numerical competency into opportunity sizing
Business planning and strategy execution 
UK retailer knowledge (KPIs, processes, organisational structure)
Strong strategic analysis, AMDEA, GFK, Microsoft Excel, Power BI etc
Strategic commercial awareness and knowledge of execution requirements & detail to deliver credible leadership
Strong relationship building & communications skills 
Innovative & creative

Ideal candidates will be comfortable communicating with the working levels and senior leadership teams. They will support the Head of Product in leading the commercial thinking of the business and be capable of delivering upon the strategic projects that are identified to support healthy sales & profit growth! 

The role is based between Surrey and London and is a hybrid role allowing you to work three days in the office and the rest working from home.
