Job Description

The Change Partners are working with a high-performing team in the Travel sector who are looking to hire a Commercial Business Support Tester.

You’ll be a key part of the passenger commercial domain, working on a massive project to ensure systems meet business needs and provide a smooth user experience before going live. You will work within a supportive team environment, interacting with various departments and reporting directly to the Testing Manager.

Essentially, you are the final gatekeeper for quality, making sure products are rigorously tested, defects are tracked, and business users are supported during critical testing phases.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning: Analyse business specifications to prepare comprehensive testing strategies and define acceptance criteria.
  • Test Execution: Draft and execute various test campaigns, including functional, UAT, and regression testing, while meticulously documenting results.
  • Defect Management: Identify and qualify bugs, tracking them closely with technical teams to ensure resolution.
  • Reporting: Support the Testing Manager by providing clear conclusions on booking system performance and peripheral systems.
  • User Support: Guide business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide regular progress reporting.
  • Documentation: Write detailed test cases and user stories to ensure all scenarios are covered.
  • Agile Participation: Work within Scrum or Kanban frameworks to keep projects moving forward efficiently.

Your background:

  • Experience: Between 1 to 5 years of experience in functional testing, UAT, or general quality assurance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in testing methods (ISTQB certification is a plus) and tools like Jira, Xray, and Postman.
  • Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in an Agile environment and familiar with various IT environments like web, mobile, or ERP.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to understand complex business needs and translate them into rigorous testing scenarios.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; being bilingual in English and French is a distinct advantage.
  • Personal Traits: A detail-oriented critical thinker who is autonomous, curious, and possesses a strong customer service mindset.

Please note this is an umbrella (outside) contract role until November 2026 paying £280 per day.
