Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Forecasting Manager to join the DTC business of a tier-1 consumer electronics organisation who have ambitious goals of turning $1bn of sales by 2025. 

This is a newly created position which has been created due to the organisations scale and impact on the wider business. Forecasting is becoming a key focus in the continued growth. 

You will support the Head of Commercial and be the commercial owner of DTC forecasting and sales planning by working closely with Category Managers. 

This role would suit a sales operational individual, more than a supply chain expert as you will face into the supply chain and act as a commercial point of contact with ownership of the business plan in terms of revenue. This role involves high-level planning and driving out business processes with a commercial heavy approach in process improvements. 

 

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage the sales forecast for all product categories to drive stock orders through operations
• Monitor and manage the sales trends, sell-out forecast based on sales performance and report the changes to commercial partners
• Manage the supply chain planning system and coordinate the sell-out target schedule with various internal teams.
• Understand the variables with planned sales and billed net sales, highlighting and evaluating the risks to the sales plan.
• Report forecasting accuracy and monitor out of stock issues to commercial teams.

 

We are looking for:

• Experience working in a multichannel or PurePlay retailer - Broad retail experience would be a bonus (physical store and online)
• Experience in sales & operations planning/forecasting role (6 month-1 year target forecasting)
• Strong understanding and experience in forecasting processes, supply chain strategy and achieving results through others (systems expert)
• A resilient individual who is confident and comfortable in changing elements of the organisation that have worked in a certain way. 
• Detail orientated - attention to detail when reporting back.
• Accountability - accountable for driving forecasts and understanding areas of opportunity and growth.


The role is based in London and is a hybrid role allowing you to work 3 days in the office, and 2 days working from home.
