Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to join one of the world’s top wine and spirits retail businesses.
This role is responsible for driving performance traffic to their DTC website channel: off-site to on-site, SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social, CRM, Email and Affiliates channels.
In addition, you’d be in charge of formulating and overseeing the implementation of a strategic blueprint for achieving company goals, by driving performance, increasing revenues and continuously refining processes for enhancement.
We are looking for a commercial, performance/growth end-to-end Digital Marketing Manager responsible for building and owning the digital marketing strategy; namely aimed at how the brand pursues recruitment and retention of customers to achieve commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a customer-centric acquisition and retention strategy, utilising and maintaining customer segments.
- Own and evolve the budget allocation across various channels (namely email, SEO, paid search, affiliates, paid social, and referral channels) daily, categorized by country.
- Propose adjustments to channel spending in response to evolving business needs and shifts in market behaviour.
- Monitor performance against the plan and compare it with the previous year on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the Online Director and Finance team to ensure that the strategy aligns with commercial objectives
- Develop and oversee the schedule & calendar of activities to be implemented for driving performance and achieving business priorities, such as campaigns, product launches, and promotions (among others).
- Lead cross-functional communications and meetings to ensure timely project deliveries and provide comprehensive briefings.
- Oversee both existing and potential agencies to effectively achieve objectives.
- Act as the primary thought leader in digital marketing, market developments, competitor behaviour and performance.
- Policy and protocol changes, including but not limited to Google's cookie policy, GDPR, and cookie consent regulations.
Essential Candidate Experience:
- Commercially astute – with the ability to identify and prioritise recommendations based on scale of impact.
- Numerate and data led in decision-making.
- Expert understanding of channels, their role, their strengths and weaknesses and how to bring them together to deliver more than the sum of parts.
- Experience managing a team and their professional development.
- DTC experience digital Marketing experience is essential.
- Experience or passion within the Whiskey, Wine or Spirits category would be ideal but not essential
- Growth mindset.
- Consumer-centric - DTC omni-channel experience.
- Experience reporting directly to Stakeholders/stakeholder management.
